Pachamama Grow-Op WelcomeWelcome to Pachamama, our local kinship grow-op, servicing Tarpon Springs to Spring Hill, Florida with locally grown produce and sustainable goods. We want you to know your grower and have a more intimate relationship with the food that nourishes you. We value the interconnectedness of all things. We would even like to encourage you to start your own garden and become a grower for us, even if all you have to sell are oranges that would otherwise fall to the ground. We’re part of the local food revolution… would you like to join us? Why Pachamama?A few members of Code Green Community, a Tampa Bay transition group, felt the need for an online cooperative market that promoted localization of food and products in the New Port Richey area. Pachamama was born in the spring of 2011 to provide wholesome, healthy food grown right here, in our own backyards, in Tampa Bay. Students of Gaia’s Garden (Permaculture Bible), we felt “Pachamama” was appropriate. The benevolent goddess revered by the indigenous of the Andes, her name is usually translated as “Mother Earth”. A more literal translation is “Mother World.” We honor our planet and the gifts she provides for us and we would like to share her wholesome goodness with you, our neighbor. CustomersPlease take a few moments to sign up for a free customer account and place an order if you are moved to do so. You’ll be helping our local farmers and keeping your money in Tampa so that we can be more sustainable and resilient to any economic, oil, and/or food crisis the future may bring. Besides, it’s just plain fresher and healthier! GrowersIf you’re a harvester and would like to set up a free grower account, please read our FAQs, sign up, and start selling your goods today. We do the marketing and distribution, and provide the forum so you have a convenient outlet for your produce and products. Fresh and NourishingAt Pachamama Grow-Op, we take pride in delivering you the freshest and most wholesome local goods.
